Elements
Elements are core gameplay attributes assigned to every Pal and every Active Skill. Elements determine how Pals interact in combat, influencing damage dealt, damage received, and certain gameplay mechanics.
Every Pal has at least one Element, and some possess two, inheriting the strengths and weaknesses of each. Every Active Skill has exactly one Element, which is used when calculating damage against a target Pal. Humans and NPCs do not have Elements.
Elemental matchups play a major role in combat: attacks that are strong against a target’s Element deal increased damage, while attacks that are weak deal reduced damage. Beyond combat, a Pal’s Element can also influence behavior and functionality in certain situations.
List of Elements
There are a total of nine Elements in the game.

Elemental Matchups
Each Pal possesses an elemental affinity, and each element has elements that it is strong or weak against.
Elemental attacks deal more damage to elements they are strong against and less damage to elements they are weak against.In-game Survival Guide
Each Element has:
- One Element it is weak against
- Zero to two Elements it is strong against
When an Active Skill is used, its Element is compared to the target Pal’s Element(s) to determine damage.
Damage Multipliers
- Strong against: 2× damage
- Weak against: 0.5× damage
- Neutral interaction: 1× damage
If an Element is neither strong nor weak against the target, damage is unchanged. This includes cases where the skill’s Element matches the target Pal’s Element.
If an Active Skill is both strong and weak against a dual-element Pal (for example, against ), the damage multiplier remains 1×.
Although double strengths or double weaknesses would theoretically result in 4× or 0.25× damage, such interactions do not currently exist in the game.
- The only way this can happen is with a theoretical / Pal which would take 4× damage from attacks.
- 0.25x damage cannot happen with the current type chart, as there are no two elements that resist the same element.
Dual-Element Pals
Many Pals possess two Elements, inheriting strengths and weaknesses from both. For example, a / Pal is:
- Strong against and
- Weak against and
When calculating damage, all relevant strengths and weaknesses are considered before applying the final multiplier.
Same-Element Bonus
If a Pal uses an Active Skill that matches one of its own Elements, the skill deals an additional 20% damage. This bonus applies regardless of elemental effectiveness.
Additional Combat Factors
While elemental matchups are important, they are not the only factor influencing damage.
- Critical Hits: Always deal double damage, regardless of elemental interaction.
- Status Effects: Certain skills can inflict effects such as Burn, Poison, or Freeze, which may further influence combat outcomes.
- Stats and Skills: Individual Pal stats, abilities, and skill selection can significantly affect performance.
Strategic Use of Elements
Understanding elemental strengths and weaknesses is essential for building effective teams. Selecting Pals and Active Skills that exploit enemy weaknesses can dramatically increase damage output and provide a decisive advantage in battle.
