Humans
Humans are non-playable characters that can be found scattered all over Palpagos Islands, with them mainly concentrating in settlements such as small towns and encampments.
Several types of humans can be found, with various behaviors. Whether hostile or friendly towards the player, all humans except the leaders of factions can be caught by lowering HP and using a Pal Sphere, without needing to utilize glitches. Human catch rates are much lower than regular Pal's and may require higher-grade Pal Spheres.
While able to be caught, Humans cannot use the weapons they are holding - for example, (if a Rayne Syndicate human with a pistol is caught, they will not have the ability to use it in combat. This makes humans sub-par when compared to even the most simple of Pals, with some exceptions. It is highly recommended to not waste time catching just any human in Pal World. Nevertheless, there are a few humans worth capturing in Palworld, some being merchants which can be deployed on the player's base to always have someone to buy from.
Most humans (except leaders of factions) function like Neutral element Pals, receiving increased damage from Dark element skills.
Combat
If in the event a player chooses to use a captured human in combat, the results will vary greatly depending on their type & class.
Example: A level 10 Rayne Syndicate Grenadier with 200 Attack stats is observed to deal significantly more damage than a Crusher or any other type of enemy of similar level and attack damage stats. This makes the Grenadier the most viable human to have on one's team in the field and can be significantly more viable than using a Pal of similar level and damage stats.
Although Humans that are caught with any weapon, may not be able to use said weapon, the damage that is dealt does seem to scale based on what kind of weapon they are equipped with, when caught.
Humans can be equipped with Active Skills using Skill Fruits, and can use them. Furthermore, all humans can be enhanced with Pal Souls, similar to regular Pals.
Additionally, it is also possible to rank up Humans using the Pal Essence Condenser. This will not enhance their passive skill, but will boost other stats.
Types of Humans
Islanders
Several passive humans can be found around the Palpagos Islands, usually in settlements and sometimes sitting by campfires in the wild. These generally only have dialogue, but occasionally some will give the player items for speaking with them.
Merchants
Pal Merchants, Wandering Merchants, and Black Marketeer can be interacted with to buy and sell items or Pals.
Faction Members
Several humans are members of a Faction, and depending on their motivations and your actions will either be passive until provoked or always hostile to players who approach.
Faction Leaders
Each Faction has a Faction Leader, who is available to fight in their respective towers.

Catching Humans

Although typically considered taboo, most Humans can be caught in Pal Spheres, and subsequently added to the player's party, added to the player's base, or sold.
While it may seem like a sick joke, human beings can be caught in Palworld. Just like with regular Pals, Pal Spheres are used to attempt to catch them, although they have a significantly lower catch rate. It's worth noting that the game usually considers the act taboo, and will start the progression of a wanted meter until the offending player dies.

Human characters generally have weaker combat capabilities compared to Pals (only know Punch), only have a Handiwork 1 work suitability, and cannot be used in the Breeding Farm. They also cannot use their weapons (such as any guns they may be holding), nor can they be interacted with the same way as with Pals - this means it's not possible to feed, pet, or pick them up when nearby, or use the Command menu. Humans placed in the base do not allow for the normal Pal interactions, such as feeding, petting, or lifting. Humans in the party can be interacted with using the menu. This can be used to butcher them.
Merchants which are placed in the base will allow you to buy and sell items or Pals from them. Catching a Wandering Merchant, Pal Merchant, or Black Marketeer and assigning them to a base's working party will allow the player to access their shops from the comfort of their own base.
Faction Leaders cannot be caught without the aid of glitches.
