Implant
Implants are special key items used with the Pal Surgery Table to modify a Pal’s passive skills. They allow players to add, replace, or fine-tune passive abilities, offering a more controlled alternative to relying solely on random passives from captures or breeding.
Implants are primarily used for optimizing combat performance, work efficiency, movement, or utility traits, and some powerful passives are only accessible through non-default implants obtained from specific NPCs or activities.
Implants represent passive skill modules that can be applied to Pals via surgery. Each implant corresponds to a specific passive skill and can be used to overwrite an existing passive slot or fill an empty one.
Once an implant is unlocked or obtained, it can be reused multiple times, allowing the same passive to be applied to multiple Pals.

Gold costs vary depending on the rarity and strength of the passive being implanted.
Types of Implants
Default Implants
Upon unlocking the Pal Surgery Table, a selection of common passive skills is available by default. These typically include basic combat, work, and utility passives such as:
- Increased attack or defense
- Reduced hunger or sanity loss
- Improved work speed
- Night-time activity
- Movement speed bonuses
- Breeding efficiency bonuses
These default options cover many foundational builds but exclude several high-impact passives.
Non-Default Implants
Some implants are not available by default and must be unlocked or purchased through specific gameplay systems. These non-default implants often provide stronger or more specialized effects.
Bounty Officers
Certain NPC bounty officers trade implant modules in exchange for bounty-related currency. These commonly include powerful passives such as:
- Artisan – Greatly increases work speed.
- Musclehead – Significantly increases attack at the cost of work efficiency.
- Burly Body – Provides a large defense bonus.
Bounty currency is earned by completing bounty objectives found throughout the world.
Arena Merchant
The Arena Merchant offers premium implant modules in exchange for arena-related currency. These typically include high-tier or combat-focused passives, such as:
- Serenity – Improves ability performance and cooldown efficiency.
- Infinite Stamina – Greatly increases stamina, especially useful for rideable Pals.
- Runner – Provides a substantial movement speed boost.
These implants are not available until explicitly unlocked or purchased, and requires Battle Tickets to purchase.

Strategy and Notes
- Implants stack with passives gained from breeding or capturing, allowing for highly optimized Pal builds.
- Implanting a passive replaces an existing passive slot; careful planning is required to avoid removing desirable traits.
- Some rare or special passives may not be obtainable via implants and remain exclusive to wild Pals or breeding.
- Implant surgeries require a significant gold investment, especially for high-tier passives.
