Spheres
Spheres are items use to capture Pals. Spheres have varying levels of Capture Power, and lower-level spheres will eventually become completely ineffective against stronger Pals. Spheres have an increased capture chance if thrown from behind the Pal. Spheres are unlocked through the Technology tree and crafted at the Sphere Workbench or the Sphere Assembly Line.
Obtaining
Pal spheres can be found in the wild, dropped from enemies, dug up from the Ranch, or crafted.
Finding Pal spheres in the wild
Pal spheres spawn in random locations on the ground or in chests. The type of sphere will depend on the location: higher level areas will give better spheres.
Pal spheres from enemies
Some hostile NPCs will drop pal spheres. These NPCs may show up during raids.
Pal spheres from the Ranch
If the player assigns a Pal like Vixy to the Ranch, it will dig up items such as gold coins and Pal Spheres.
Crafting pal spheres
To craft a pal sphere, it must first be unlocked in the Technology window. Different pal spheres require different buildings to craft them in.
Usage
There are different types of pal spheres with different strengths. To use a pal sphere, the player must have them in their inventory. Throwing pal spheres does not consume stamina.
Higher level pals are more difficult to catch, and thus are more easily caught with a better type of sphere. You can catch Pals and Alpha bosses and dungeon bosses with it. Although it is considered inhumane, you can also catch humans with it.
If you aim at a Pal from behind, you will get a back bonus and get a higher catch chance.
Pal spheres cannot be thrown while gliding, but can be while flying or mounted, crouched or sliding, falling, or aiming with a loaded bow.
Blue spheres are only really good for pals up to level 10. You can catch higher levels with them, especially once you have all 12 capture bonuses, but it's hard. You should be using these spheres at these levels:
Level 1-10: Pal Sphere (blue)
Level 11-18: Mega Sphere (green)
Level 19-26: Giga Sphere (yellow)
Level 27-34: Hyper Sphere (red)
Level 35-42: Ultra Sphere (pink)
Level 43-50: Legendary Sphere (purple)
Level 51-55: Ultimate Sphere (dark blue)
Also if you haven't already, start collecting Lifmunk Effigies and leveling up your capture bonus, it helps.
Types
The Radar Sphere is currently unobtainable through normal gameplay, but may become part of the game in a future PvP update.

Bugs
There's a bug where standing on a Pal sphere after it reaches 100% causes the player to be shot up into the sky. It can give a nice view of the surrounding area, but be careful not to die from fall damage.
