Consumables
Consumables are a class of Items that are used up when activated and typically provide an immediate effect. These effects may include restoring stats, curing status conditions, unlocking progression, or teaching abilities.
Consumables are stored in the standard inventory, have weight, and are consumed upon use. Items that are not consumed or that appear in the Key Items inventory are not considered consumables.
Food & Ingredients
Food and ingredients are consumables that restore Nutrition and/or SAN when eaten.
Ingredients generally provide basic stat recovery and are commonly used as components in cooking. Prepared food typically restores more Nutrition, recovers more SAN, and may grant additional effects such as temporary stat bonuses or resistances, though not all food provides extra buffs.
While most prepared food offers stronger or broader benefits, many ingredients can still be consumed directly, making the distinction between food and ingredients primarily one of effectiveness and additional effects rather than usability.
Keys
Keys are consumable items used to open locked chests found throughout the Palpagos Islands. Each key is consumed automatically when opening a chest and can only be used once.
Keys are most commonly obtained from chests or as loot during exploration.
Technical Manuals
Technical Manuals are consumable items that grant the player Technology points when used, allowing progression through the technology tree.
They are typically obtained as boss drops or as rewards from chests.
Medicine
Medicine items are consumables used to treat injuries or cure status conditions affecting Pals.
Medicine can be purchased from Wandering Merchants or crafted at a Medieval Medicine Workbench or Electric Medicine Workbench.
Skill Fruits
Skill Fruits are consumables found throughout the world that can be used to teach Pals new Active Skills.
Each Skill Fruit grants a specific skill when consumed.
