Desolate Church is a point of interest located in the Autumn Rocks area, within the Grassland Region. The site serves as a fast travel point and later becomes a key location in Zoe’s storyline, where she can be encountered after her defeat at the Tower of the Rayne Syndicate.
Encounters
- Zoe – Appears here after being defeated alongside Grizzbolt at the Tower of the Rayne Syndicate and serves as the focal NPC for her recruitment questline.
Alpha Penking – A powerful Alpha Pal encountered in the nearby sealed realm.
Quests
After her defeat at the Tower of the Rayne Syndicate, Zoe relocates to the Desolate Church. Interacting with her at this location begins a questline that allows the player to recruit Zoe as an ally.
- Catch a Grizzbolt – Zoe’s first requirement is to obtain a Grizzbolt Pal. She will point players toward No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary as the spawn location for Grizzbolt, and completion of this objective requires presenting Zoe with a summoned Grizzbolt.
- Defeat or capture Free Pal Alliance members – Zoe asks that five members of the Free Pal Alliance (hostile faction NPCs) be defeated or captured. These enemies can be found around regions north of the Desolate Church, such as near the Bridge of the Twin Knights.
- Retrieve Zoe’s Tattered Memento – The final task directs players to the Fort Ruins to find a piece of cloth that serves as a memento from Zoe’s past. After retrieving and returning it to her, Zoe expresses her trust and agrees to join.
Upon completing all three tasks and returning to Zoe, she becomes an ally paired with Grizzbolt — appearing as a combined unit that functions similarly to other Pals in the game.
