Egg Incubator
Egg Incubator is a Building which can hatch Pal Eggs. Unlike the Electric Egg Incubator, it does not require Electricity to operate. Instead, it operates under a temperature mechanic, where Eggs which are not kept comfortable (through the use of a building such as the Heater or through placement of the Incubator itself in the correct biome) take longer to hatch.
Acquisition
It's a tier 7 technology item and requires 1 ancient technology point to unlock.

Usage
The Egg Incubator is used to hatch eggs found through out the world or through breeding at Breeding Farm. Eggs come in Common, Rocky, Verdant, Damp, Electric, Dragon, Frozen, Dark and Scorching varieties. Each of these is associated with the matching type of Pal. Eggs of each type can also come in Large and Huge varieties which hatch rarer Pals.
Placing an egg in the incubator will start a timer. The time it takes to hatch depends on your world settings with Huge eggs taking the longest to hatch. After placing an egg into an incubator, you will be given a short message on the incubator on status. Eggs can be too cold or hot which reduces incubation speed. Placing a campfire, heater, or cooler next to the incubator (depending on the message displayed on the incubator) will increase incubation speed. Multiple heaters or coolers may be needed for some eggs.
Time Setting
The game uses a default value of 72 as a multiplication factor. This value can be adjusted by the user in the configuration files (PalWorldSettings.ini for dedicated servers and in-game settings for single-player). This value represents the total hours (72 hours) required for incubation of a Huge egg at 0%.
Incubation Time
Each egg size has a specific base incubation duration, which is calculated using a division factor, referred to here as "Base Time":
- Normal Egg: 12
- Large Egg: 2
- Huge Egg: 1
Bonus Speed
The game also allows for varying incubation speeds, each of which has a specific division factor, referred to here as "Incubation Speed". A specific message along with the percentage pops up which are as follows:
- 0% (Seems a little cold/hot): 1
- 50% (Seems just a little cold/hot): 1.5
- 100% (Seems very comfortable): 2
Favourable Temperature
Each egg thrives at a specific temperature! Find the perfect spot where the natural temperature matches the egg's needs, or use any heating or cooling source. The incubator's interface shows the egg's current temperature. Following are the list of all the eggs with their favourable temperature:
- Cold
- Damp
- Frozen
- Dark
- Moderate
- Common
- Verdant
- Electric
- Hot
- Scorching
- Rocky
- Dragon
Calculating Incubation Time
The incubation duration for each egg, given a specific speed, can be determined using the following formula:
This equation yields the total incubation duration in seconds, providing a precise measure of the time required for each egg size at each incubation speed
