Marcus and Faleris
Marcus Dryden is the leader of the Palapagos Islands Defense Force (
PIDF) faction and owner of the fire Pal 
Faleris as a partner. Marcus is located in the tower of the PIDF in the Dessicated Desert in the northeast.
Appearance
Marcus is a tall, well-built man whose design is perhaps reminiscent of that of a pimp, mobster, or a gang leader. His most prominent feature is the large fur-collared black and gold overcoat that he drapes over his shoulders like a cape.
About
Marcus is a haughty man, and quite frankly an arsehole, his design and attitude heavily influenced by the stereotypical "dirty cop" trope. Despite not being the strongest or final boss, he's responsible for a lot of the problems that affect the Palpagos Islands, including the corruption and hypocrisy of the Free Pal Alliance, the villagers's drug problems, and the declining population. The Rayne Syndicate is the only problem he's not explicitly involved with, although he's certainly not in any rush to deal with them either.
Character Trivia
- Marcus' entrance involves throwing money in the air and laughing haughtily.
- Marcus made a fortune by selling drugs to the community he was supposedly protecting, then arresting his customers for possession while fining them and confiscating his own product to sell again later.
- When approaching the city he runs near his tower, the Apathetic Citizens say they owe their lives to his protection and warn the Player Character not to antagonize him.
- Of the five tower bosses, Marcus is the only one who brazenly abuses his Pal (starving and drugging him.)
