Crude Oil is a type of material.
Acquisition
- Can be obtained by placing a Crude Oil Extractor over a Crude Oil deposit. With sufficient power supply, one unit is produced at a rate of every 100 seconds.
- It can also be found from chests in the Oil Rig.

Trivia
- If only a limited amount of crude oil is needed for crafting a specific recently unlocked technology (for example Plasteel for Plasteel Armor, Laser Rifle, Refrigerated Crusher or Cold Food Box) it may be easier to farm Kikit in the Northern and Southern desert of Sakurajima Island than setting up a Crude Oil Extractor (as they take insane amounts of power and require Orserk to effectively keep running).
- A Rocket Launcher should be able to one shot an entire group of Kikits.
