Yakumo is a 
Neutral elemental Pal. It was first shown in the Sakurajima Update trailer.
Appearance
Yakumo is a dog-like Pal with a gray body with dark blue highlights and a golden horn.

Utility
Yakumo is able to increase the chance to encounter Pals with the same passive skills. The order of Yakumo's passives matters, with the first being most likely to appear in the wild Pal as the first passive, then Yakumo's second passive as the wild Pal's second, and so on. Passives that can't appear randomly, such as Lucky, aren't affected by Yakumo's effect, and are skipped when matching the wild Pal's passives.
Yakumo's Partner Skill needs to be enabled by crafting a Yakumo Saddle, then bringing it out. The effect applies upon catching any Pal, so have Yakumo (with desired passives) out while the ball is wiggling. Yakumo's passives are only applied on catch - not added to the wild Pal in the open, and you don’t need to ride it, just having it out at the point of capture will work. Each passive on Yakuma has a 15% chance to pass to the caught Pal at lvl 1 and 30% at lvl 5. The passives don't replace set ones like Legend or Divine dragon, so you can get a good roll on a boss fairly quickly with some patience. Also level up Yakuma and put souls into defense/health so the legendaries don't just kill it immediately.
