Mining

Mining is a Work Suitability. Pals with this work suitability are able to mine at the Stone Pit. Additionally they will also mine from Stones that are inside of the base area.

Pals with level 2 mining can also mine Ore and Sulfur in the base area.

Pals with level 3 or 4 mining additionally can mine Coal and Pure Quartz in the base area.

When a pal with mining skill is in the active party and the player is mining, they will help the player depending if they have the mining level for the resource mined.

Facilities that use Mining

Base structures

Field resource nodes/deposits

The Stone Pit will only give stone. The resource nodes drop their respective item when mined. A stone deposit also has a chance of dropping Paldium Fragments when mined. Resource nodes will get depleted after mining some amount from it.

Some areas in the world have groups of 5 to 10 ore deposits. This is a nice location to mine large amounts of ore.

Methods

Mining can be done in multiple ways:

  • Letting Pals with mining skills work at the Stone Pit
  • Causing a certain amount damage to rocks.
    • Punching rocks with your fist or a pickaxe

Any damage done to a rock can cause rocks to drop it's mineral. Pals with mining skills assigned to the base will target rocks with their attacks, causing them to drop it's material. These items can be picked up by Pals with a transporting skill.

Tip: Mammorest's Earth Impact attack causes large area effect damage to rocks. This is especially effective when you are surrounded by ore deposits. Obtaining the Mammorest Saddle and rotating between different Mammorest Pals in your party lets you quickly mine multiple ores.

You can also find and pick up stones found on the ground.

(+ damage to nodes per level)

Real damage = Damage * X Damage / Defense. Example, level 3 Ore: 600 * 0.35 / 5 = 42 damage

A Pal has a base damage of 600 that gets reduced by a factor for each Lv. The damage is further reduced by the defense of the node.  Digtoise works differently from other pals. It does ~25 ticks of damage, 55 damage/Defense per tick, it also has a different mine interval that is affected by work speed, making it faster with +workspeed traits. Condesning it to rank 4 increases the damage to ~165/defense. A basic Digtoise will now mine roughly 3.5 times faster than a basic Anubis while assigned to the base. Yield per node:

  • Stone, Coal – 48.
  • Paldium, Sulfur, Quartz – 38.
  • Ore – 40.
