Working is an activity that can be done by both Players and Pals in Palworld.

Work Suitability

Work Suitability screen as seen in a Paldeck entry.

Each Pal species has a list of possible types of work they can do. Work Suitabilities are a form of traits that Pals can have ranging from 1 to 4 naturally and can be boosted by 1 with the Pal Essence Condenser.

Most work can be done in bases, but some can be done in the wilderness as well.

Kindling

Pals with  Kindling are able to heat campfires, help cook food. and power furnaces. They can also light torches placed in the base.

Watering

Pals with  Watering are able to water crops, and power devices such as the crusher and the mill.

Planting

Pals with  Planting are able to sow seeds in farms.

Generating Electricity

Pals with  Generating Electricity can power up generators and other electric devices.

Handiwork

Pals with  Handiwork are able to manage crafting benches, conveyer belts and such, being able to do handiwork, such as crafting or building, and can also be put in factories to mass produce items.

Gathering

Pals with  Gathering can harvest crops from farms and carry bodies.

Lumbering

Pals with  Lumbering are able to gather lumber from trees.

Mining

Pals with  Mining are able to mine rocks.

Medicine Production

Pals with  Medicine Production can produce medicinal items at certain work benches.

Cooling

Pals with  Cooling can cool down refrigerators and similar devices.

Transporting

Pals with  Transporting are able to move items from harvest stations or on the ground in your base into storage units.

Farming

Pals with  Farming are able to drop specific items when assigned to a Ranch.

Recomended Setup

Build the Monitoring Stand to control what jobs Pals can do, and build all the buff structures for 20% more work speed. For food use  Salad,  Chikipi Sauté,  Pizza or Unknown icon.png Minestrone.

Minestrone will give the greatest work speed improvement for all hunger levels and doesn't require a ranch or a wandering Merchant.

*  Generating Electricity:  Orserk or  Azurmane. Fills to 100%, then does other work until 80%.

*  Handiwork:  Anubis (can be obtained early-game through breeding a  Vanwyrm with a  Cinnamoth or a  Relaxaurus with a  Celaray),  Selyne (nocturnal) or  Splatterina (nocturnal and consumes very little food)

*  Lumbering:  Celesdir or  Prixter, eats less and moves faster than other level 3, use the Monitoring Stand to set it to the Logging Site.

*  Farming: all items can be bought from Wandering Merchants, except Honey.

*  Kindling:  Jormuntide Ignis or  Blazamut Ryu. A Jormuntide Ignis can be obtained very early from a Huge Scorching Egg found on top of the eastern Volcano as soon as a flying mounts is captured.

*  Cooling:  Frostallion or  Bastigor.  Vanwyrm Cryst is the only dark-type cooling pal, meaning it is naturally nocturnal.

*  Watering:  Jormuntide or Unknown icon.png Faleris Aqua

*  Mining:  Astegon (nocturnal),  Blazamut Ryu (can also run a furnace) or  Knocklem (can also transport)

*  Transporting:  Knocklem, faster than  Wumpo. Transporters take stacks of 2, 5, 10, 20,40.  Vanwyrm moves faster, it's better for Ranch and Pure Quartz bases where items drop in low stacks (Ranch Pals drop items one by one).

*  Planting:  Lyleen, the only level 4.

*  Gathering:  Frostallion Noct, the only level 4.  Knocklem or  Verdash have level 3 early. Gathering yields: 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.  Lullu speeds up the growth phase, stacking.

*  Medicine Production:  Bellanoir, but  Lullu and  Lyleen can craft what is needed, as you don't mass produce medicine.
