Mimog is a 
Neutral elemental Pal. It was first shown in the Sakurajima Update trailer.
Appearance
Mimog is a mimic-like pal that has a black treasure chest with light blue markings and a pair of golden ears. Also on the inside is pitch black with the exception of a pair of glowing blue eyes and a tongue that's sticking out from the lid.
Behavior and habitat
Almost all around Palpagos Islands. Mainly central of the islands.
Is static when found in the wild. When attacked or attempted capture, will run off very quickly and disappear.
Utility
Mimog is able to unlock treasure chests with its Partner Skill, Master of Unlocking. There's also a 80 sec cooldown (at least for copper chest, unknown if higher for the other tiers). The type of chest Mimog is able to open depends on its skill rank.

Trivia
- Mimog's name is a combination of mimic (a type of D&D enemy that resembles a voracious chest) and dog.
- Normal Mimogs grant the same amount of XP as an Alpha/Lucky pal upon defeat.
- Mimog only drops Dog Coins when wild killed/caught and does not produce them when slaughtered.
