- Grass shares it's name with Grass from Pokemon, an obvious reference considering most games use "Plant"
- Additionally, most insect-like Pals are Grass type. This may be a reference to the Pokemon TCG, in which Bug types are instead Grass type to avoid printing similar-colored cards.
