Dark

 Dark is one of the nine elements found in Palworld. Dark is strong against  Neutral and weak to  Dragon.

Dark-type Pals are strongly associated with nighttime activity. Most are naturally nocturnal, meaning they primarily spawn during the  Night and do not sleep. At  Bases, Dark Pals will continue working both day and night without requiring beds. Exceptions exist, such as  Lovander, which is nocturnal despite being a  Neutral type.

Because they never naturally rest, Dark Pals are more susceptible to Sanity drain and can become overworked if not carefully managed.

Subspecies that gain the Dark element use the suffix Noct, meaning “night,” to distinguish them from their base variants.

Dark Pals are immune to the Blind status effect.

Generic properties

• Dark Pals continue working through the night while other Pals sleep, allowing for uninterrupted base productivity.
• They do not sleep during the daytime either, making them especially prone to Sanity loss if overworked.
• Unlike most elements, Dark does not resist the element it is strong against; Dark does not resist  Neutral.

Trivia

•  Bellanoir Libero is the only Dark-subspecies Pal that have a different suffix to the normal Dark-type suffix Pals. Most likely due to it being a Dark-element variant of a Dark-element Pal.
