Full Name
Rayne Syndicate
Leader

The Rayne Syndicate is a hostile criminal faction known for Pal poaching, forced labor, and armed territorial control. The faction operates multiple enemy bases across the Palpagos Islands and represents one of the primary early-game antagonistic forces encountered by the player.

The Syndicate prioritizes profit, control, and exploitation of Pals, frequently clashing with factions such as the Free Pal Alliance. Its members rely heavily on firearms and organized patrols rather than Pal partnerships alone.

Faction Ideology and Goals

The Rayne Syndicate is driven by large-scale Pal trafficking and resource extraction. Unlike factions that view Pals as companions or research subjects, the Syndicate treats them primarily as commodities. Captured Pals are commonly found imprisoned within Syndicate bases and camps.

The faction’s activities suggest a structured hierarchy with militarized enforcement, indicating centralized leadership and coordinated operations across multiple regions.

Territory and Biomes

Rayne Syndicate forces are primarily encountered in:

  • Grassland and temperate regions
  • Arid and desert biomes
  • Central landmasses of the Palpagos Islands

Enemy bases associated with the Syndicate are typically built in open terrain or elevated areas that allow long-range combat advantages.

Key Characters

Tower Boss

Zoe Rayne
  • Location: Rayne Syndicate Tower, Windswept Hills
  • Associated Pal: Grizzbolt
  • Combat Role: Boss encounter

Zoe Rayne serves as the leader of the Rayne Syndicate and is encountered as a tower boss. The battle against Zoe Rayne and Grizzbolt is one of the earliest tower challenges faced by the player and represents the faction’s command structure.

Non-Boss NPCs

Rayne Syndicate bases and camps are populated by various armed NPCs, including:

These NPCs commonly wield firearms and explosives, making Syndicate encounters more dangerous than early wild enemy camps.

Enemy Faction Bases

Major Bases

Rayne Syndicate enemy faction bases are found throughout Syndicate-controlled territory.

Bases typically contain:

  • Armed NPC defenders
  • Caged or restrained Pals
  • Multiple loot chests, including high-tier chests

Some bases may appear to lack obvious ground-level entrances. In these cases, access is often achieved by reaching elevated platforms or rooftops, entering through side openings or upper floors, or breaking destructible walls that conceal interior rooms. Vertical traversal and flight-capable Pals are often useful when navigating these structures.

Rayne Syndicate bases and camps may respawn after a period of time once cleared, allowing repeated engagement and farming of loot.

Loot and Rewards

Within each enemy base, there are two generic chests found within the structure, and one golden chest. The golden chests have items associated with this faction.

Oil Rig Facilities

The Rayne Syndicate controls three offshore Oil Rigs facilities located in ocean regions of the Palpagos Islands. These installations function as heavily fortified enemy bases and represent some of the most dangerous Syndicate-controlled locations.

Oil rig facilities share the following characteristics:

  • Large, multi-platform industrial structures
  • Dense concentrations of high-level Syndicate NPCs
  • Emphasis on ranged combat in open, exposed environments
  • Limited cover and restricted movement paths

Each oil rig culminates in a high-value loot chest, often containing rare materials, advanced schematics, or other late-game rewards. Due to enemy density and layout, these facilities are considered high-risk, high-reward encounters.

Minor Camps and Points of Interest

In addition to major bases, the Rayne Syndicate maintains smaller enemy camps across its territory. These camps typically consist of:

  • Tents or small structures
  • Fewer NPC defenders
  • Basic loot chests

While less fortified than full bases, these locations still serve as resource and experience opportunities for the player.
