Key items are a special class of items in Palworld. Key items appear in their own special category in the player's inventory, have zero Weight Weight, and will not be dropped upon death.

Types of Key Items

Pal Gear

Pal Gear is the most common type of key item in the game. Pal Gear allows players to unlock the Partner Skills of many Pals, though it should be noted that not all Pals have gear associated with them.

Pal Bounty Tokens

Pal Bounty Tokens are items obtained by defeating overworld Alpha Pals Alpha Pals for the first time. They give bonuses to a certain elemental damage type. Certain Pal Bounty Tokens are also needed to enter certain Sealed Realms.

Lifmunk Effigies

Main article: Lifmunk Effigy

Lifmunk Effigies are small green statutes of the Pal Lifmunk Lifmunk that are used to increase the player's Capture Power at a Statue of Power Statue of Power. They can be found scattered throughout the Palpagos Islands, often appearing in hard-to-reach places.

Feed Bags

Feed bags are items used to hold food. As long as there is food in a feed bag, players and Pals will automatically eat from them when their Hunger Hunger drops low enough. Each feed bag also has a different amount of slots for holding different types of food.

Lockpicking tools are used to open locked Treasure Chests without using a key. Each one has a different tier(s) of chest they are able to unlock

Pouches

Pouches are used to increase the size of the player's inventory. Each pouch gives three extra inventory slots.

Hip Lanterns
