Its gigantic arms can tear through blocks of ice. There were times when great sinners were tied in the town square and had their hair torn out by Hangyu Cryst as a brutal form of public humiliation.

Hangyu Cryst (Japanese: オバケナワ Obakenawa) is the  Ice element variation of Hangyu.

Appearance

Hangyu Cryst's appearance is identical to Hangyu, but with its coloration being white and pale blue.

Behavior and habitat

Hangyu Cryst are nocturnal. This Pal is non-hostile towards the player unless it's attacked.

Utility

Hangyu Cryst is the only Pal with the Cooling Work Suitability that's inherently nocturnal. Because Cooler Boxes and Refrigerators only slow decay while a Pal is working them, this is a useful property. However, Hangyu Cryst will still leave its job to eat when hungry.

• Its Japanese name may come from お化け obake (shapeshifting entities from Japanese folklore) and しめ縄 shimenawa (a rope used as a Talisman in Shinto religion), the latter also being Hangyu's Japanese name.
