Once upon a time, it was a giant and powerful aquatic Pal. However, with the dwindling availability of food, it ventured onto land. As a consequence of burning many calories to walk, it astonishingly awakened its power to control fire!

Gobfin Ignis (Japanese: シャーマンダー Shāmandā) is the  Fire element variation of Gobfin.

Appearance

Gobfin Ignis is a small, short Pal. It has a primarily red body with a yellow underbelly and pink lightning bolt markings over its eyes. The top of its head is adorned with a fin.

Behavior and habitat

Gobfin Ignis is hostile and will attack without any provocation.

Utility

Gobfin Ignis has a partner skill that targets enemies with a powerful Spirit Fire.

Having Gobfins Ignis in your party will boost player attack by 10% each, for example a party of 4 Gobfins Ignis will give the player a 40% damage buff.

Condensing a Gobfin Ignis to partner skill level 5 will increase this damage buff to 20%.

Having Vanguard and Stronghold Strategist on each of your 4 Gobfin Ignis (partner skill level 5) will give the player a total buff of +120% damage and +40% defense.

• Its Japanese name might come from Shark and Salamander, inspired by alchemy where salamanders were seen as fire elementals.
